Catherine Painter has over 20 years of not-for-profit management experience. In February 2015, she became the first Executive Director of Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre, and she is also currently Development Consultant to the Chicago Human Rhythm Project, Trinity Irish Dance Company, and Rivendell Theatre Ensemble.
Previously, Catherine served as Director of Development for Victory Gardens Theater, Merit School of Music, and Northlight Theatre. She managed a $50+ million capital campaign in her role as Associate Director of Development for Major Gifts at the Latin School of Chicago. Earlier in her career, she worked as a consultant with The Alford Group on projects that included Chicago Shakespeare Theatre’s move to Navy Pier, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s move to West Jackson Street, and construction of the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.
She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science degrees in Communications from Northwestern University.
