EDPS 470 – Collective Bargaining Practice and Policy in K-12 and Higher Education

Description: The purpose of EDPS 470 is to introduce students to the major issues surrounding collective bargaining in K-12 and higher education. Students will have the opportunity to examine collective bargaining from several different perspectives, including its history, the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, different types of collective bargaining processes, and the effects of collective bargaining on a range of actors and institutions. Students also will have the opportunity to explore collective bargaining through concrete cases, such as Chicago.
Prerequisite: Graduate level only and Consent of the instructor

Schedule: This course meets online and on campus on Tuesday & Thursday 4:30-8:30.
