Technical Requirements

CNM online courses will work on any personal computer using an up-to-date Mac, Windows or mobile operating system and an Ethernet or Wi-Fi Internet connection.

In addition, CNM assignments require the following software:

PowerPoint is also used in some courses. If you do not have the program, you may view the PowerPoint files with the Acrobat Reader.

Live technical support is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. CST, and weekends, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. CST, by phone at (312) 996-5948 or through the online support option available within the CNM course.

To accommodate students who are new to online learning, students are given access to the CNM Blackboard course sites approximately one week before the class begins. During this time, students are expected to become familiar with the course website and menu options. Activities during the first week of class give students a chance to get to know each other through the development of personal homepages and other introduction exercises.
