The UIC Early Childhood Alternative Licensure program is a teacher residency program for teachers working in Chicago Community Agencies.  The program is in partnership City of Chicago Early Learning scholarship program.  Following a course study, program candidates complete a two-year residency to earn an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in early childhood education.

These courses are not open to general applications. The application process is overseen by the City of Chicago, not UIC. To determine eligibility for the program, please visit the program website.
